Speakers

Director at Neuroscience Nursing Research Center; Professor, Department of Neurology; Professor, Department of Neurological Surgery
My research focuses on developing a deeper understanding of how nurses and nursing care contributes to outcomes for patients with acquired brain injury.

Artist of Nursing, AACN President-Elect
With a background in fine arts, I bring a creative spirit to my work as a second-career professional nurse and Clinical Nurse Educator. I am passionate about supporting the professional development of nurses, empowering them to drive evidence-based practice at the bedside, providing education and encouraging learning. I lead by enthusiastically embracing the nursing process and modeling professional commitment.

Registered Nurse at Revival Drip Bar
My passion behind Revival Drip Bar started in 2020 after I realized I was suffering from extreme burn out during COVID. It was a time I will never forget about working in the trenches in the ER of some of the worse times I have ever seen. There were so many thoughts, concerns, and uncertainties I went to sleep with every night. One thing remained constant, I was tired and hated my job. I reached a very low point in my life and decided that it was time for a change. I either needed to change my career choice or rekindle my passion as a nurse, which is how Revival Drip Bar was created. I wanted to give people a safe place to be while helping them in their wellness journey. The message needed to get out to people about preventative care and wellness. Prevent COVID and sickness before it starts using simple measures that we already have available. I started researching vitamins and ways to feel our best. I learned a lot about prevention and ways I could utilize my nursing license and educate people. I just hit my first year (2023) in business as a one man show starting IVs and doing what I love!
