Dear all,

Dallas County Chapter invites you to attend the Advanced 12 Lead EKG Interpretation Seminar.  Our goal is to provide nurses with knowledge and skills through evidence-based education. We offer this at a meager price of $50 for members and $75 for non-members. The money goes back to the nurses to celebrate nursing events.

This dynamic 2-day course will provide the registered nurse with the knowledge and skills required to interpret changes on the 12-lead ECG. The course will begin with a review of leads and the basic patterns of the standard 12-lead ECG. From this foundation, through both brief lectures and skill-based on practice, participants will focus on relating how pathophysiologic cardiac conditions manifest on the 12-lead ECG. Special emphasis will be given to understanding and interpreting cardiac axis changes, atrial and ventricular conduction abnormalities, and the QT interval. The course will conclude with a focus on the evolving concept of acute coronary syndrome, including unstable angina/non-STEMI and STEMI identification and management.
