Welcome our new Secretary-Elect

We are excited to welcome Crystal Perales, BSN, RN, CCRN, CMC, as the new Secretary Elect for the Dallas AACN 2025–2026 term!

Crystal currently works in the Medical ICU at Texas Health Dallas, where she serves as both a charge nurse and a preceptor. In these roles, she mentors newer nurses, guides clinical decisions, and supports her team in delivering the highest level of care. She holds her CCRN and the CMC micro-credential, reflecting her commitment to advanced practice and professional growth.

Crystal brings valuable leadership experience, having served as Secretary of the MICU UBC for three years, as well as Secretary and Secretary-Elect for the Dallas AACN Chapter from 2021–2023. These roles strengthened her skills in accuracy, organization, and communication—qualities she is eager to bring to her new position.

As Secretary Elect, Crystal’s goals include ensuring that information is clearly documented and shared to keep members connected and informed. She is also passionate about strengthening chapter visibility through community education and outreach, highlighting the vital role of critical care nurses and inspiring engagement in the profession.
